After multiple experiences in groups like NoJazz or Andy Emler Megaoctet, Philippe Sellam turns to a more pared-down formula the trio, accompanied by inspired musicians Alfio Origlio on keyboards and Yoann Schmidt on drums. They just recorded a new album together untitled "Magic box ", where one can discover not only the beautiful encounters of sounds, but as well its intense music-making where relays are operated smoothly by always keeping a catching energy.
Three notes of this all-terrain saxophoniste is sufficient to identify him. In the abundance of brilliant French musicians Philippe SELLAM is a rare voice and one-of-a-kind. His lyricism and poetry, as well as his his breathtaking technique makes him a desired companion of the most flamboyant orchestras, such as French National Jazz Orchestra, Michel Portal; he has also performed with Michel Petrucciani, Gil Evans, Bernard Purdie, Charles Aznavour and many others. His trio produces a contemporary jazz, illustrated with beautiful melodies alternating with inspired improvisations.

He has created music for many TV and radio credits and advertisements as well as run many workshops and master classes. Has played on around 90 albums. Co-leader of NOJAZZ band whose first album was producted by Teo Macero (producer of Miles Davis ), the second album featuring Stevie Wonder, Maurice White (Earth Wind and Fire), Mino Cinelu…
